    Haim - The Wire

You know I'm bad at communication, it's hardest thing for me to do
You know it sad, the most difficult relationships you go through
And I gave it all away just so I could say that Well
I know I know I know I know you're gonna be ok anyway
You know there's no rhyme or reason for the way you turned out to be
I didn't go and try to change my mind not intentionally
I know it's hard to hear me say it but I can't bear to stay and
I just know I know i know I know you're gonna be alright anyway

Always keep your heart locked tight don't let your mind retire
But I just couldn't take it I tried hard not to fake it but
It followed me when It came down to the wire
    It's the wire,(about)
    It's the wire,(about)
But it followed me when it
    Came down to the wire.

Does your imagination make you what you wanted to be
Because I'm sorry now for what I did, it came naturally
So I gave it all away just so I could say that
I know i know I know I know that you gonna be ok anyway

I try to keep myself together All the opportunities
Stay true to you and try to do what you want me to do
So I gave it all away just to hear you say that
Well I know I know I know I know that you gonna be ok anyway

Always keep your heart locked tight don't let your mind retire
But I just couldn't take it
I tried hard not to fake it but
It followed me when It came down to the wire
    It's the wire,(about)
    It's the wire,(about)
But it followed me when it
    Came down to the wire.
    It's the wire,(about)
    It's the wire,(about)
But it followed me when it
    Came down to the wire.

Always keep your heart locked tight don't let your mind retire
Always keep your heart locked tight don't let your mind retire
But I just couldn't take it
I tried hard not to fake it but
It followed me when It came down to the wire
(Always keep your heart locked tight don't let your mind retire) 2X
    It's the wire,(about)
    It's the wire,(about)
But it followed me when it
    Came down to the wire.

    Arcade Fire - Afterlife

    [Verse 1]
Afterlife, oh my God, what an awful word
After all the breath and the dirt and the fires are burnt
And after all this time, and after all the ambulances go
And after all the hangers-on are done hanging on to the dead lights
    Of the afterglow

    I've gotta know

    [Chorus]
    Can we work it out?
We scream and shout 'till we work it out
Can we just work it out?
Scream and shout 'till we work it out?
'Till we work it out, 'till we work it out
'Till we work it out, 'till we work it out

    [Verse 2]
Afterlife, I think I saw what happens next
It was just a glimpse of you, like looking through a window
    Or a shallow sea

    Could you see me?
    And after all this time
It's like nothing else we used to know
After all the hangers-on are done hanging on to the dead lights
    Of the afterglow

    I've gotta know

    [Chorus]
    Can we work it out?
Let's scream and shout 'till we work it out
Can we just work it out?
Scream and shout 'till we work it out?

    [Bridge]
    But you say
    Oh
    When love is gone
    Where does it go?

    And you say
    Oh
    When love is gone
    Where does it go?
    And where do we go?
    Where do we go?
    Where do we go?
    Where do we go?

    [Verse 3]
    And after this
    Can it last another night?
    After all the bad advice
Had nothing at all to do with life
    I've gotta know

    [Chorus]
    Can we work it out?
Scream and shout 'till we work it out?
Can we just work it out?
Scream and shout 'till we work it out?

    [Bridge]
    But you say
    Oh
    When love is gone
    Where does it go?
    And you say
    Oh
    When love is gone
    Where does it go?
    Oh
    When love is gone
    Where did it go?
    And where do we go?
    It's just an afterlife
    It's just an afterlife
It's just an afterlife with you
    It's just an afterlife

I want in like a substitute
I've been working awful hard for you
But you don't say, you just hold your breath
    So I can't touch what I haven't yet
She's a cold one and it hurts me so
It's a dark path and a heck of a toll
And she could kill me just like she did before

    We'd be so free-
    Happy alone
    Sharing a smile
    So far from home

    Pushing and a pulling weight
It's the hard part but the true love way
Girl you're wanted like a wanted man
With your smart mouth and your killer hand
We could both share all that I have made
For a young man it's a heck of a wage
And I feel crazy when I see your face

    Cause we'd be so free-
    Happy alone
    Sharing a smile
    So far from home
    And we would laugh
    Laugh till we cried
    Making up songs
    You're making me lie

And people say our babies are walking this town
And people say our babies are walking this town
And people say our babies are just wanderin' around
And people say our babies are walking...

    We'd be so free-
    Happy alone
    Sharing a smile
    So far from home
    And we would laugh
    Laugh till we cried
    Making up songs
    You're making me lie
    Happy alone

B. Don't Speak von No Doubt, Friday I'm in Love von The Cure, Bad Day von R.E.M., Hotel California von den Eagles und Come As You Are von Nirvana ein.

Do you worry about your health
Do you watch it slowly change
And when you listen to yourself,
Does it feel like somebody else?
And did you notice when you began to disappear?
    Was it slowly at first
    Until there's nobody really there

    Increment by increment
    Increment by increment
    Increment by increment

    Oh remember me
    Yeah remember me
    Oh remember me
    Yeah remember me
    Oh remember me
    Will you remember me?

Did half of you pass away
    What about the other half
Yeah what about the other half - whatever!
We're all part of the same old bloody regime
With someone taking it out whilst you were putting it in

    Increment by increment
    Increment by increment
Oh let me be your instrument

    Oh remember me
    Yeah remember me
    Oh remember me
    Yeah remember me
    Oh remember me
    Will you remember me?

    Oh remember me
    Yeah remember me
    Oh remember me
And from the here and now to eternity
    Will you remember me?

The Lost Continent von Bill Bryson
Notes from a Big Country von Bill Bryson
Street Without a Name von Kapka Kassabova
    Brooklyn von Colm Toibin
    One Day von David Nicholls
Nothing to Envy von Barbara Demick

Brightside" von The Killers absolut..

Ansonsten mag ich von deren Videos ganz besonders "Don't shoot me Santa" :lachflash: , "A Dustland Fairytale" :heul: , "When You Were Young" und die amerikanische Version von "All These Things That I've Done".

Sonic Youth - Teen Age Riot

    You're it
    No, you're it
    Hey, you're really it
    You're it
No I mean it, you're it

    Say it
    Don't spray it
    Spirit desire (face me)
    Spirit desire (don't displace me)
    Spirit desire
    We will fall

    Miss me
    Don't dismiss me
    Spirit desire

    Spirit desire [x3]
    We will fall
    Spirit desire
    We will fall

    Spirit desire [x3]
    We will fall
    Spirit desire
    We will fall

Everybody's talking 'bout the stormy weather
And what's a man do to but work out whether it's true?
Looking for a man with a focus and a temper
Who can open up a map and see between one and two
    Time to get it
    Before you let it
    Get to you
    Here he comes now
    Stick to your guns
    And let him through

Everybody's coming from the winter vacation
Taking in the sun in a exaltation to you
You come running in on platform shoes
    With Marshall stacks
To at least just give us a clue
    Ah, here it comes
    I know it's someone I knew
Teenage riot in a public station
Gonna fight and tear it up in a hypernation for you

    Now I see it
I think I'll leave it out of the way
    Now I come near you
And it's not clear why you fade away

Looking for a ride to your secret location
Where the kids are setting up a free-speed nation, for you
Got a foghorn and a drum and a hammer that's rockin'
And a cord and a pedal and a lock, that'll do me for now
    It better work out
I hope it works out my way
'Cause it's getting kind of quiet in my city's head
Takes a teen age riot to get me out of bed right now
    You better look it
    We're gonna shake it
    Up to him

    He acts the hero
    We paint a zero
    On his hand

    We know it's down
We know it's bound too loose
    Everybody's sound is round it
Everybody wants to be proud to choose
So who's to take the blame for the stormy weather
You're never gonna stop all the teenage leather and booze
    It's time to go round
    A one man showdown
    Teach us how to fail

    We're off the streets now
    And back on the road
    On the riot trail
